Hayden **3rd Grade**

All Summer, Hayden hoped to get a postcard from Mrs. Reinhardt in the mail, welcoming Hayden to her class. And 4 days before school started, she did!!
Hayden was also excited to find out that she and Lauren would be in the same class again. They have fun playing together outside of school.

Taylor **1st Grade**

Taylor was so excited to find out that she would be in Mrs. Jaramillo's first grade class in room 11, this year!
And she was thrilled at Meet-the-Teacher night to see that Lexi was in her class again!

Back to School, July 23, 2012

As much as I appreciate our districts school year calendar, two and a half weeks off in March, October and December/January, I don't love that Summer break ends in July. But, such is life! School started on July 23rd this year..with Taylor going into 1st grade and Hayden going int 3rd grade.

Taylor's Haircut!

While we were up in Show Low over the 4th of July, my mom wanted a family portrait done. About an hour prior to picture time Taylor declared she wanted her hair cut off. She'd been mentioning it lately, but in the next sentence, would say she was just kidding, because she wanted Rapunzel hair.
She mentioned it a couple times before it was time for her to shower and get ready, and low and behold, I had my hair cutting shears with me!
I tied her hair up in a ponytail, and cut off about 10 inches! My mom was a bit stunned. I don't think she could believe I actually did that. And right before a picture. But quite honestly, I dreaded (daily!) doing Taylor's hair. It was ratty, unkempt and prone to really bad knots.

Not only did it age her, but it completely changed her look. She loves it (and so do I). It was a win/win!
