"I like to play outside. I play on the patio and on the swings. I like to go to my cousins house and play on their trampoline. I like to find worms and bugs. I like to ride my bike too. We did not go to the beach this Summer, but we went camping. I really like camping, but Holly does not like camping. Miss Pett is my teacher this year, and she is really cool! I like when you (Mommy/me) take me for a pedicure or shopping at Justice. I like when we make smoothies and having sleepovers in Taylor's room".

Neighborhood Camping, Woods Canyon Lake

Our neighborhood went on a camping trip this Summer. About 15 families went up to Woods Canyon Lake. It was a lot of fun, and a ton of kids! They rode bikes, searched for bugs and hiked their hearts out! We enjoyed great campfires and lots of laughter!

Dance

Taylor is signed up for round 2 of dance...jazz, this year. Hayden thought she'd give hip-hop a try. She liked it okay, it was a bit challenging though. This was their first day of dance class. Hayden went for about 6 weeks before opting out and trying gymnastics instead!

Fourth of July 2011

It seems as though we may have a new tradition in our family. For the second year in a row, we spent The Fourth at the cabin in ShowLow with my parents and the Cox family. We still went to Heber for a bbq at Mrs. Coxes, even though the fireworks show was cancelled due to fire restrictions. It was a fun, long weekend. Can't wait to do it again in 2012!

Monterey, CA

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is my absolute most favorite place to visit along the central coast. I remember going there with my family, for field trips and with friends. It's a wonderful aquarium, and ever since Hayden was little, I've been dreaming up the day that I could take my kids there. This was my chance! We got up early on Morning and drove to Monterey. It's actually a really pretty drive! My girls got to see their first crop dusters, which they thought were just awesome! We saw farmers and workers along the entire trip, out picking in their crops. And as soon as we came over the last hill and the ocean was in view, they went crazy!! My mom treated us to aquarium tickets..as she knew the aquarium was in my plan, and I treated the girls to lunch at Bubba Gumps! They're both shrimp nuts!! We also took a tour of Monterey on a trolley, stopped at the San Juan Bautista Mission (we saw some monks..or whatever they're called..that freaked them out a bit! That place looks haunted!), and we bought two HUGE artichokes on the way home. I had almost forgotten how big they get. That lifetime feels like dreams ago! I wish I would've taken a picture..it was almost the size of Tay's head!
